Well, I’m back.
I have journeyed into the world of blogging a few times before with varying levels of success and I thought it was time to start something new to reflect the new stage of life that I have entered.
The last few months I have been caught up in a whirlwind of change – good change! In August I got married to the woman of my dreams, Cassie. We moved to Birmingham. She commenced a Graduate course in Law. I commenced postgraduate studies with the University of Birmingham.
I am currently studying an MA in International Relations with a specialist pathway in International Peacekeeping. The course is a lot of work, very challenging and extremely encouraging.
I have also been assigned as a Research Assistant to one of the Professors in my department – so I am getting many great opportunities to develop personally.
My own research is, as usual, flirting on the lines of theory and practice. I just love exploring that tension and asking the tough questions that are rarely covered in mainstream academia.
This blog will, undoubtedly, act as a sounding board for my academic work. My dissertation progress. My Research Assistantship. And, all manner of personal projects.
Please feel free to engage and let’s see where this journey goes.
